Lasnek stainless steel NEMA 1 wireway and wire basket was the manufacturer of choice, nominated by the contractor, when installing stainless steel containment in a state-of-the-art ready to drink manufacturing plant, completed in 2024. The total project scope included: a $315M budget, 570,000-square-foot facility to roast, grind, process, product test, warehouse and distribute coffee and tea products worldwide. The plant was renovated to quickly scale for growth, with the latest production capabilities, robotics, and end-to-end automation.
Shipped from our Chicago inventory, the initial order was over 700 – 10FT lengths of 304 stainless steel 4” x 4” wireway and 300 bends and fittings used for routing control and process cabling within the production facility. All material arrived on schedule and within budget.
To reduce the effects of EMI, Lasnek supplied over 700 stainless steel dividers, which where fitted to the base of the trough by the installing company at the desired position. These barriers where used to reduce any potential interference between the high voltage AC or PWM generated motor control cables, and those carrying the lower voltage or DC process signaling.
The final installation quantities exceeded 838 10FT lengths, or 1.58 Miles of NEMA Type 1 stainless steel wireway and dividers, and over 1000 bends, including Lasnek’s unique variable angle wireway fittings.
Within certain areas, Lasnek stainless steel wire basket was the preferable method of containment. Approximately ½ a mile of Lasnek 2” x 2” of induction welded 304 basket tray was installed, complete with stainless steel dividers to reduce radiated EMI between high and low voltage cables.
For over 40 years, Lasnek has been a specified supplier of stainless steel NEMA 1, NEMA 4X and Wire Basket by End Users, Project Specifiers, OEMs and Electrical Contractors.
Whether it’s a coffee beverage facility, a private label water bottler, a carbonated beverage or beer plant, Lasnek can meet the volume demands for any electrical installation.
